Portzed! After a long period of dead silence after consent – comes a new application

19 December 2015…..Every Saturday morning, the planning applications registered in the previous week are published on the council website.  It is worth putting the planning register page into bookmarks for weekly checking.
Today, news comes that the developers for Portzed are seeking a range of changes to their Conditions of planning consent.  Conditions are always about unfinished business (left unfinished because, often, developers know what they want in those areas might get them a refusal if they put all their cards on the table!!!!).  Conditions are also areas of contention that take decision making out of the public arena and away from Planning Committee scrutiny where only the planning officers and applicants have any say.  This pertains until or unless those difficulties then result in a further planning application (or even several of them).
